Suez Canal: Ever Given container ship shifted from shoreline

The Ever Given, a massive container ship, was successfully refloated and shifted from the shoreline of the Suez Canal after being lodged there for several days in March 2021. The incident had caused a significant disruption in global shipping, as the Suez Canal is a crucial waterway for international trade. The ship was moved after an extensive and complex operation involving dredging, tugboats, and excavators to remove sediment and rock from around the vessel. The successful shift of the Ever Given allowed the canal to resume normal operations, alleviating the major backlog of ships that had accumulated during the blockage.
